Transgender advocates are outraged by the death of a transgender asylum seeker shortly after she was released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody. Johana Medina, 25, reportedly died May 31 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas only a few days after officials approved her asylum case to move forward.
