Cassell has traveled the world writing about each adventure in Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, England, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Spain, and throughout the United States.

Cassell has covered LGBTQI international news for the Bay Area Reporter for eight years. She’s written about the atrocities endured by LGBTQI people around the world as well as the victories and celebrations.

Cassell loves covering local news around the San Francisco Bay Area from the 2017 wild fires in Wine Country to the small town Pride celebrations. She’s been covering what’s been happening in business, health, technology, entertainment and more for the Bay Area Reporter and other publications for 13 years.

Cassell has spoken about LGBTQI and women’s issues and travel at the Community Marketing Inc., Travel and Adventure Show, Women’s Travel Fest and other travel industry and social justice conferences.
